Margaret Louise Bailey

March 2, 1930 — Sept. 26, 2013

COMANCHE — Margaret Louise Bailey, a lifelong resident of Comanche, peacefully passed away Thursday morning, Sept. 26, 2013, at Duncan Regional Hospital. She was 83 years old.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, at Patterson Avenue Baptist Church, with Bro. Trent Young officiating. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, under direction of Comanche Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Louise was born March 2, 1930, in Comanche, to Walter F. and Lillie Mae Johnson Rhodes. She was a 1948 graduate of Comanche High School. She and Bill Bailey were united in marriage on May 29, 1948, at Henrietta, Texas.

She was a member of the Patterson Avenue Baptist Church. Louise loved to sew, she was an excellent cook, and she loved talking and visiting with her friends. Her grandchildren were everything to her; she and Bill never missed any of their sporting events. She loved her family very much.

Survivors include two children: Billy Bob Bailey and wife Carole, Duncan, and Bea Butler and husband Randy, Ratliff City; a brother, Billy Rhodes and wife Dorothy, Artesia, N.M.; four grandchildren: Colby Butler and wife Kristy, Duncan, Sarah Butler, Edmond, Chad Bailey, Duncan, and Ryan Bailey and wife Robyn, Duncan; and two great-grandsons: Braylen and Bowen Butler, Duncan; and numerous extended family and close friends.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill on Sept. 28, 2011; and a brother, J.R. Rhodes.
