Arthur Dale Daniels

Nov. 16, 1935 — March 10, 2013


YUKON — Former Marlow resident Arthur Dale Daniels of Yukon, 77, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013, in Oklahoma City.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home, with the Rev. Allen Daniels officiating. Burial will be in the Velma Cemetery under direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.
Arthur was born Saturday, Nov. 16, 1935, in Duncan, to William H. and Ottie Mae Worley Daniels. Arthur lived in Arkansas and Texas before returning to Marlow after he retired. He attended school in Duncan and worked in the oilfield most of his life. Arthur was an avid sports fan. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, OU Football and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Arthur loved life and loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and playing horseshoes. He also enjoyed watching western movies, dancing, and listening to country music. Arthur attended Eastside Baptist Church in Marlow.
Survivors include son, Lonnie Daniels and wife Connie of Mustang; daughters, Kimberly Trusiani and husband Michael of Brunswick, Maine, Shelly Cain of Marlow, Barbie Harter and husband Bryan of Yukon, Lola Buckallew and husband Adam of Marlow; 24 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers: Allen Daniels and wife Judy of Oklahoma City, Leo Daniels and wife Lois of Healdton; sisters, Mary Brooks of Marlow, Sherron McMahan and husband Bill of Marlow, Beverly Slate and husband James of Duncan; several nieces and nephews.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Daniels; sister, Bonnie Jolly.
Pallbearers will be Earnest Beck, Bradley Daniels, Dustin Parrish, Gary Daniels, Zach Foshee, Matt Brand, Jason Johnston, Mathew Daniels. Honorary pallbearers are Trevor Warren and Sean Kulbeth.

Should the date for The World's Largest Garage Sale be changed from the third weekend in July to sometime in October to take advantage of cooler weather like we had this past weekend?

Yes. More shoppers would come during nice fall weather.
