Earl Wyrick

March 21, 1935 — March 5, 2013


Earl Wyrick, lifelong resident of Comanche, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013, in Oklahoma City. He was 77 years old.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 8, at Patterson Avenue Baptist Church, with Bro. Dee Bowen and Bro. Trent Young officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, under direction of Comanche Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday. Family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m.
Earl was born March 21, 1935, in Comanche, to Garlin W. and Berdie Cox Wyrick. He was a graduate of Loco High School. Earl proudly served his country in the United States Army. While stationed in Okinawa, he was selected as “Soldier of the Month” by officers and fellow enlisted men.
He and Eva Teacle were married in September of 1971 in Wichita Falls, TX.  Earl worked for Jones Drilling Company for many years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, gardening and yardwork. 
Survivors include his wife, Eva of the home; a daughter, Brenda Webb and husband Bobby, Davis; three sisters: Shirley Anderson and husband Cecil, Enid, Patricia Wyrick, Duncan, and Jane Varnell and husband Homer, Duncan; two grandchildren: Michael Jennings and wife Tamara, Sulphur, and Logan Phillips and husband Pen, Chickasha; two great- grandchildren: Brody Jennings and Jagger Jennings; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons: Russell Lawrence and John Lawrence; three sisters: Barbara Tucker, Josephine Martin and Dorohty Wyrick; and two brothers: Charles Wyrick and James Wyrick.

Should the date for The World's Largest Garage Sale be changed from the third weekend in July to sometime in October to take advantage of cooler weather like we had this past weekend?

Yes. More shoppers would come during nice fall weather.
Either time is fine.
