Hunter Tate Vaughn

DUNCAN — Hunter Tate Vaughn, 15, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013, in Oklahoma City.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, January 14, 2013, at the New Hope West Baptist Church, with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Burial will be in Addington Cemetery under direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.

Hunter was born Tuesday, Oct. 7, 1997, in Duncan, to Kenneth and Kristeen (Malone) Vaughn. Hunter lived in the Duncan area all his life and was currently a Freshman at Duncan High School where he was a member of the track team. He enjoyed listening to K-LOVE, playing video games, drawing and fishing. Hunter also enjoyed helping his Dad work on cars and was always willing to help others. Hunter was a member of New Hope West Baptist Church in Duncan.

Survivors include his parents, Kenneth and Kristeen Vaughn of the home; brothers, Austin Rose of Lawton and Colby Vaughn of Duncan; sisters, Shayna Rose of Lawton and Katherine Vaughn of Duncan; several aunts, uncles and cousins; a host of friends; grandfather, Archie Williams of Rush Springs.

Hunter was preceded in death by his grandmother, Betty Williams; great-grandparents, Jim and JoAnn Palmer, Katherine and Rick Malone; cousin, Justin Barney and uncle, Edgar Allen Poe.

Pallbearers will be: Rick Greer, Chase Row, Anthony Rogers, Jim Nottingham, Donal Domm and Billy Dunn.

Honorary pallbearers include Duncan High School Freshman Class, PJ, Sam Holthe.

Memorial contributions may be made to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home or Legacy Bank.
