Graveside service for James A. Lloyd, 62, of Duncan, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at the Fletcher Cemetery.
James A. Lloyd was born April 15, 1951, in Mt. Morris Township, Mich., the son of Wallace
Orvil and Bertha Frances (Hopkins) Lloyd.
He died April 18, 2013 in Duncan.
James grew up and graduated from Beecher High School in 1969. He served in the U.S. Army from May of 1970 to 1972. James went to work for GM in 1972 and retired in 1993.
He and Avis Owens were married October 1970 and to this union two sons were born, Chad and Eric. James later married Pat Williams and helped raise her son, Joe. He moved back to Oklahoma in 1993. He owned and operated six subways in Oklahoma until 2001 when he retired. James lived several years in Duncan.
He was preceded in death by father; a brother, Vincent Lloyd; and a sister, Brenda Anger.
Survivors include, children: Chad Lloyd and wife Barbara, and Eric Lloyd and wife Kelly, all of Duncan, Joe Moss of South Carolina; mother, Bertha Lloyd of Flint, Mich.; grandchildren: Zachary, Madison and Ethan Lloyd; and sisters, Joy Vader, Marilyn Flowers, Lawana Paula all of Flint, Mich., and Karen of Detroit, Mich.; and special friend and organ donor, Pam Ennis of Georgia.
Interment will be in the Fletcher Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
