John Thomas Biffle, 84, of Duncan, died Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at the Lawton-Fort Sill Veterans Center.
Military graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, at Fort Sill National Cemetery with pastor Russell Tuck officiating. Services are under direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.
John was born Nov. 15, 1929, in Mangum, to John Morris and Eunice Mullunex Biffle. He married Mable B. Pelt on June 6, 1953, in Duncan.
John graduated from Burris High School. He served in the United States Navy from 1948 to 1952.
John was a floor refinery operator at TOSCO (SunRay) Refinery. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mable of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Wayne Hunteman of Yukon; four brothers: Don Biffle, Glen Biffle, Bob Biffle and Dale Biffle; three sisters: Linda Lane, Ann Harms and Janice Biffle; a granddaughter, Shelly Frank and her husband Alexander; and a great-granddaughter on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Patsy Garner.
