Billie Hanson, 85, of Duncan passed away Monday, July 8, 2013 in the Country Club Care Center.
Service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, in the Bethesda Church of God with the Rev. Harold Metheny officiating. Interment will be in the Marlow Cemetery under direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home.
Billie was born May 9, 1928, at Fox, the daughter of R.D. and Edna H. Hall Phipps. She and Jimmie Hanson were married Nov. 14, 1944, at Lubbock, Texas. She worked as the manager of Jiffy Convenience Stores for many years. She was a faithful active member of the Bethesda Church of God and never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jimmy Don Hanson; and a granddaughter, Bobbie Guajardo.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmie of the home in Duncan; her daughter, Linda Smith and her husband Robert of Duncan; seven grandchildren: Wayne Smith and his wife Tonia, Kim Brown and her husband Randy, Larry Smith and his wife Dawana, Mike Smith and his wife Becky, Christy Mayes and her husband Donald, and Frank Edwards; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Smith, Cody Brown, Daniel Smith, Chase Smith, Chris Smith, Bradley Guajardo and Brandon Davoult.
