Donald Charles Free, 69, of Duncan, passed away Saturday, Feb. 23, in Lawton.
Funeral services will be noon Thursday, Feb. 28, in the Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with Father Joseph Nettem officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be at 2 p.m. in the Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, under direction of the Don Grantham Funeral Home.
Family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Donald was born Feb. 12, 1944, at St. Louis, Mo., to Reginald and LaGarda Koch Free. He married Mary C. Sullivan on Feb. 12, 1965, in Lawton, and served proudly in the U.S. military as an electronics tech for more than 24 years.
Donald is survived by his wife, Mary of the home; his mother, LaGarda Free of St. Louis, Mo.; four children: Michelle Bilodeau of Duncan, Donna Free of Waco, Texas, Reginald Free and wife Jeanette of Harker Heights, Texas, and Brenda Roberson and husband Carl of Fairbanks, Alask; eight grandchildren: Holly Conlin, Claryce Free, Sierra Bilodeau, Candice Roberson, Cheyenne Bilodeau, Katie Roberson, Chrissy Roberson and Jean Marie Roberson; four great-grandchildren and a host of other family and close friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his father, Reginald Free; and a sister, Jackie Hecht.
