Wanda Gayle Sanner

Oct. 8, 1935 — May 10, 2013

VELMA — Wanda Gayle Sanner, 77, of the Duncan/Velma area passed away Friday, May 10, 2013, in Duncan.

Graveside service will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 13, in the New Velma Cemetery with Alvin Oliver officiating, under direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Grantham Velma Chapel.

Gayle was born Oct. 8, 1935, in Ardmore, the daughter of James William and Irene Ramona Williams Lansford. She graduated from Velma High School and attended Draughon’s Business College in Oklahoma City. She married Gail B. Sanner on Sept. 11, 1954, in Velma.

She worked as a loan officier for Halliburton Employees Credit Union, retiring in 1991, and was a member of Parkview Baptist Church.

Gayle is survived by her husband, Gail of the home; a son, Jeff Sanner and wife Debbie of Velma; a daughter, Brenda Sanner of Ponder, Texas; two brothers: Dale Lansford of Duncan, and Kenneth Lansford and wife Glenda of Denton, Texas; a sister, Pat Lansford Lowe and husband Jerry of Newcastle; three grandchildren: Michael Sanner and wife Jill of The Colony, Texas, Rana Sanner and Robyn Sanner of Velma; and two great-grandchildren: Julie and Loren Sanner of The Colony, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Irene; and one sister, Donna Lansford Herman.

Honorary pallbearers are Michael Sanner, Jerry Lowe, Kevin Lowe, Jay Lowe, Kent Pogue and Gaylan Russell.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Ross Hospice Patient Fund at 328 S.W. 29th St. Chickasha, OK 73018.
