Georgie Anna Mackey, 74, went to be with Jesus, Saturday, July 13, 2013, at home.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ed Grooms officiating. Services will be under direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.
She leaves behind her beloved husband, Douglas Mackey; daughters: Victuring (Vicki) Aldrich, Barbara Garcia (Mike); sons: Douglas (Guy) Jr., Robert Mackey (Betty); grandchildren: Angelek Lewis (Richard), Mark Aldrich (Nicole), Douglas (Cory) III, Emsley (Lee) Mackey; great-granddaughters: Chloe and Savannah Aldrich; brother, Michael Wade: sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Otis Brogdon; and numerous nephews, nieces and friends, both in Marlow, and Sacramento, Calif.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sister (Linda), daughter Catrina; and son Douglas Aldrich.
Born Feb. 26, 1939, in Houston, Texas, she lived most of her life in California. She married Doug, Sept. 30, 1955. They raised three children together. She held several business positions, her last one being a billing administrator for an orthopedic surgical group. She and Doug retired and settled in Marlow.
She attended Prayer of Praise Pentecostal Church of God in Marlow. Everywhere she went, her smile, happiness and words of encouragement went with her. She never missed an opportunity to talk about her Lord and Savior. She was an inspiration and example to follow.
Georgie will always be with us in our hearts and in all we do.
