They then lived in Wichita, Kan. for nine years before moving to Hobbs, N.M., where she worked for J C Penny for 13 years while they raised their last two children.

Sam passed away in April of 1981 and Mary moved back to Duncan in 1989 to be closer to her mother in her final years. On Jan. 9, 1998, Mary married Melvin Abell, in Duncan, where they have resided ever since.

Mary leaves those to cherish her loving memories her husband, Melvin Abell of Duncan; her five children, Carol Jackson of Wichita, Kan., Kenneth Coulter and his wife, Mari, of Savannah, Ga., Sheila Sage and her husband, David, of Hutchinson, Kan., Shawn Coulter and his wife, Celia, of El Paso, Texas and Robin Nunez and her husband, Ed, of Ft. Should the date for The World's Largest Garage Sale be changed from the third weekend in July to sometime in October to take advantage of cooler weather like we had this past weekend?

No. It's better in the summer cause kids are out of school.
Yes. More shoppers would come during nice fall weather.
Either time is fine.
