Elaine Daubenspeck

May 12, 1940 — Nov. 4, 2013

MARLOW — Elaine Daubenspeck, 73, passed away Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, in Duncan.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7 at Eastside Baptist Church in Marlow with Rev. Jerry Couch officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.

Elaine was born Sunday, May 12, 1940, in Hugo to Thomas R. and Ina Bedena (Locke) Cowart. Elaine lived in the Marlow/Duncan area most of her life and graduated from Duncan High School. She later earned a bachelor’s degree in business from East Central University in Ada.

On April 8, 1967, Elaine married Stanley Nolan Daubenspeck at Immanuel Baptist Church in Duncan. Elaine was a member of the Neighborly Home Extension Club, Tat and Chat Club, and the Red Hat Society. She was a talented cake decorator and loved to crochet. Elaine enjoyed visiting with her family and friends. She was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church.

Survivors include husband, Stanley Nolan Daubenspeck of the home, son Nolan Daubenspeck of Marlow, grandson Dalton Daubenspeck of Marlow, brother Richard Cowart and wife Elizabeth of Duncan, sister Ramona Elvik and husband Harlan of Oklahoma City, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
