Laura Weedn Nalley, 95 of Healdton, former Duncan resident, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at her daughter’s home in Healdton.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dean Hall officiating. Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under direction of Carter-Smart Funeral Home.
Laura was born March 9, 1918, in Tribbey, to Lester and Florence Lee Weedn. Laura was baptized in 1932, in Tribbey. She was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was a nurse for six years.
Laura married Raymond Nalley on Dec. 9, 1936, in Purcell, and made their home in Duncan. Raymond preceded her in death July 8, 1987.
Laura is survived by three sons: James Edwin Nalley, Powell, Wyo., Emmitt Nalley of Westville, and Bobby Nalley of Healdton; two daughters: Nancy Ann Moss of Healdton, and Shirley Ramos of Denton, Texas; 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Lester Albert and Florence Lee Weedn; brothers: Audrey Alvia “Pete” Weedn, Cecil Edward Weedn, James Albert Weedn and Aubrey Virgil “Corb” Weedn; sisters: Ruth Irene Dickinson, Flossie Anola Weedn Ward; and twin brother and sister, Paul and Pauline Weedn.
Pallbearers will be Terry Allred Jr., Jeremy Shelburn, Garrett Bollig and Kris Rusgrove, Aubrey Weedn and Virgil Weedn.
