Helen Juanita Coffer, 87, passed away Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, in Duncan.
Graveside services will be held in Duncan Cemetery at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12 with Brian Holland officiating. Services are under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.
Helen was born Sunday, June 6, 1926, in Roff to William Edgar and Pearlie Mae (Gann) Taylor. She graduated from Rush Springs High School and lived most of her life in the Duncan area. On June 4, 1957, Helen married Vernon O'Neil Coffer in Lawton. He preceded her in death just a few short months ago on June 7 of this year.
Helen worked as a supervisor for AT&T and Southwestern Bell telephone companies before retiring with over 30 years of service. She loved painting in her art studio and teaching others to paint. Helen was a former member of the Duncan Art Guild.
Survivors include a brother, Ret. Lt. Colonel William E. Taylor Jr. of Lawton, two sisters, Bette Ivey of Duncan and Pat Ritter of Lawton and several nieces and nephews.
Helen was also preceded in death by her parents and a niece, Cynthia Taylor.
