Patricia ‘Pat’ Ann Leippe

Oct. 20, 1936 — Sept. 11, 2013

MARLOW — MARLOW — Patricia “Pat” Ann Leippe, 76, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, in Duncan.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Highland Cemetery in Lawton, with the family officiating. Services are under direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.

Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at the funeral home.

Pat was born Tuesday, Oct. 20, 1936, in Lawton, to Osmer Deming “O.D.” and Nona Owens Day. She grew up in Lawton, graduated from Lawton High School and lived there until moving to Marlow in 2000. Pat married Karl Henry Leippe on Sept. 15, 1956, in Lawton. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2009.

Pat worked at Lawton Eisenhower as a teacher’s aide until her retirement in 1999. She loved all animals, and enjoyed watching and feeding birds. Pat loved being outdoors and attending her grandchildren’s activities.

She was a good cook and her family came to expect her famous brisket, rolls and wonderful desserts, such as fudge and German chocolate cake. Pat loved collecting purses and shoes and was always happy to get a bargain.

Survivors include son, Karl Leippe and wife Julie of Marlow; daughter, Lisa Lang and husband Cris of Duncan; four grandchildren: Austin Leippe, Taylor Leippe, Mason Lang, Ethan Lang; sister, Martha Clifton and husband Bill of San Angelo, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pat was also preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers: O.D. “Demp” Day and Billy Joe Day.

Memorial contributions may be made in Pat’s name to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society.
