Martha Jo Rozell

April 25, 1927 — Oct. 2, 2013

DUNCAN — Martha Jo Rozell, 86, of Duncan died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, in Duncan.

Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens with Ron Stough officiating. Services are under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.

She was born on April 25, 1927, near Electra, Texas to Herbert Hobson and Rita (Jobe) Ford. She married Oscar Earl Rozell on Feb. 13, 1948, in Paris, Texas. He preceded her in death April 12, 1998.

Jo was a registered nurse working in the office of Dr. Casper Smith and the Weedn, Lindley and Duncan Regional Hospitals. She was a member of Eastside Church of Christ. She was known to her family as #1 Grandma.

Survivors include a daughter, Becky Doyle; a son and daughter-in-law, Buddy and Lexie Rozell; and a son-in-law, C.H. Barnes, all of Duncan; seven grandchildren: Ben and Lindzey Doyle, Jo and Daasha Doyle, Jesse and Jeff Milburn, Oliver and Geneva Rozell, Owen Rozell; three great-grandchildren, Oreoian Rozell, Avery Milburn, Ayden Doyle and other family members.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Ann Barnes and two brothers, John Ford and Mike Ford.

Pallbearers will be Ben Doyle, Jo Doyle, Owen Rozell, Oliver Rozell, and Jeff Milburn.

    Twyla was born Feb. 20, 1937, in Duncan, to Willard and Ruth Tinkle and died April 16, 2014, after a brief illness. Twyla lived her entire life in the Duncan area.

    Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 19, in the Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. George Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Duncan Cemetery under direction of the Don Grantham Funeral Home.
