DUNCAN — Emma Lou Hall, 89,  longtime resident of Duncan, passed away Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, in Norman.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tracy L. Wilson and the Rev. Dr. Greg Tolle officiating. Burial will follow in the Duncan Cemetery under direction of the Don Grantham Funeral Home.

Emma Lou was born May 29, 1924, in Fargo, to Earl T. and Lou Elder Hull. She married G.O. Hall on Feb. 14, 1953, in Fargo, and he preceded her in death Nov. 6, 1997.

She was a longtime member, organist/pianist and musician for the First United Methodist Church in Duncan. She also taught piano to many young musicians in the Duncan area. She was a member of Duncan Federated Music Club, Stephens County Music Teachers Association, Oklahoma Music Teachers Association, Duncan Area Music Teachers Association and was state pianist for the Rebekah Lodge.

Emma Lou is survived by a son, Larry Hall and wife Julie, and a granddaughter, Ashley Hall all of Moore.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, G.O.; and a son, John Hall.

Pallbearers will be Richard Bailey and Clay Cole. Honorary bearers will be Dr. Bill Edwards and Joe Galey.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or First United Methodist Church Music Ministry.
