Beulah Mae Sowles

DUNCAN —

Beulah Mae Sowles, 92, of Duncan, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2013, in Duncan.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2013, in the Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tracy L. Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens under direction of the Don Grantham Funeral Home.
Family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Beulah was born Oct. 17, 1920, at Tuskahoma, to Arch R. and Minerva Anderson Mangrum. She married Glen O. Sowles in October of 1955, and he preceded her in death Feb. 28, 1981.
Beulah was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, besides being a devoted wife and homemaker. She was an inspiration to her grandchildren, always encouraging them to finish their education. Beulah was also a proud member of the Choctaw Nation. She enjoyed quilting, cooking for her family and visiting with anyone who came by the house. She appreciated all her caregivers and the time she spent with them.
Beulah is survived by four daughters: Sharon Hawkins of Duncan, Trudi Williams and husband Roy of Comanche, Liz Fawbush and husband Lynn of Duncan, and Gayle Blakely of Duncan; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two children: Robert Anderson and Peggy Harris; two sisters: Louem Leach and Florence Courtney; and several half-brothers and half-sisters.
Pallbearers will be Lynn Fawbush, Mike Corcoran, Roy Williams, Frankie Hawkins, Brian Crockett and Jeremy Johnson.
