DUNCAN — Pauline Moore

Feb. 21, 1933 — Aug. 19, 2011

 Pauline Moore, 78, of Duncan,  passed away Friday, Aug. 19 at her home in Duncan. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at West Side Christian Church with the Rev. Fred Ryder officiating. Interment will follow in Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

 Pauline was born in Kingfisher, Feb. 21, 1933, the daughter of Paul and Mary Floy “Alston” Hildebrandt.  She graduated from Ponca City High School and then attended the University of Oklahoma where she studied art. She married  Paul A. Moore on Dec. 19, 1953, in Ponca City.

 Pauline loved her friends and family, and was a devoted mother and grandmother.  During her life, she dedicated herself to helping others through her roles as Girl Scout leader, swim instructor, lifeguard, and church member. As an artist, Pauline demonstrated her talents through cooking, painting, sketching, and creating award winning quilts. She saw immense beauty in nature, often being inspired by natural surroundings for her art.

 She is survived by her husband, Paul, of the home; two daughters,  Margaret Zawodniak and husband Chris, of Morristown, Pa.; Carol Clayton and husband Robert, of Comanche; one son, David Moore and wife Paula, of McAllen, Texas.; grandchildren, Shelah Neece, Sheba Katz, Sheena Paivandy, Sarah Zawodniak, Rebecca Zawodniak, Anne Cobb and Geoffrey Moore; and a great-grandchild, Rylan Cobb.

 Pallbearers will be Jim Holland, Roger Notley, Robert Clayton, Chris Zawodniak, Adam Cobb and Geoffrey Moore.

 In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to West Side Christian Church at 1801 W. Beech St. Duncan, OK 73533.
