RUSH SPRINGS —
Israel H. Chichester Jr., 60, of Rush Springs, passed away at home from unexpected causes on Saturday, March 30, 2013.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, at Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel in Duncan. A luncheon will be served at 12:30 p.m. at Southern Baptist Church, in Rush Springs, prior to the service.
There is no visitation at the funeral home.
Israel was born June 5, 1952, in Marion, South Carolina, the son of Israel H. and Hannah Norman Chichester Sr.
Israel served his country with the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. He married Dawn Hammond on March 10, 2000, in Utah.
He began his career with Cactus Drilling Company LLC, Aug. 10, 2005, as a chain hand. Then, two years later he took the position as a rig mechanic.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn, of the home; children, Carly Rae Chichester and Raechel Erin-BreAnne Chichester, both of Rush Springs, Israel H. Chichester III, Shara L. Chichester, both of Duncan and Kara S. Chichester of Tampa, Fla.; a step-daughter, Jessica Maree Fisher of Chickasha, a step-son, Bryce L. Fisher of Camp LeJeune, N.C.; six grandchildren, Bryleigh T. Bonnett and Jayden C. Bonnett, both of Chickasha, Gaven H. Chichester of Tampa, Fla., Aerianna Lopez and Layla Lopez of Duncan and Bryce H. Fisher of Camp LeJeune, N.C..
