Robert A. Gardner, always known as “Bob,” was born Dec. 6, 1949, in St. John Hospital in Tulsa. He passed away March 27, 2013, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 63.
Graveside funeral service, with Bro. Dow Pannell officiating, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 29, in Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche, under direction of Comanche Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Friday.
Bob was a sweet and gentle person, who lived and worked most of his life in Edmond, where he had many friends and co-workers. Special among those friends were Bonnie Wells and Calvin Wright.
Bob is survived by a sister-in-law, Janice Gardner, and nephew, Travis Gardner of Texas; cousins: John Cathey, Durant, Larry Anderson, Norman, Eva Castleberry, Norman, Harve Cathey, Ennis, Texas, Marti Garrison, Beaverton, Ore., and Bob Garrison, Battle Ground, Wash..
Bob was preceded in death by his parents: Ralph W. and Emma C. Gardner; brother, Ralph Leon Gardner; aunts: Hazel Cathey and Myrtle McGee of Pauls Valley, Kathleen Anderson of Norman; and uncle, Robert Garrison, Beaverton.
