Dorothy Louise Hamby, 84, of Duncan, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013, in the Duncan Regional Hospital.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Memorial service will be this fall in Valacito, Colo.
Dorothy was born Nov. 12, 1928, at Kalamazoo, Mich., the daughter of John William and Alice Mary Strong Jenkins. Before retiring she was a house keeper, loved to make ceramic dolls, sewing and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an active member of the Comanche Senior Citizens and before she moved to Comanche, active member of the Duncan Senior Citizens and Red Hat Society.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Phillips of Comanche; step-daughter, Cindy Jennings of Streamwood, Ill.; grandchildren: Frank Rightmire of Comanche, Michael Rightmire and wife Roni of Duncan, and David Rightmire and wife Kagen of Comanche; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; three brothers: John Jenkins of Arizona, Jack Renger of Texas, and Jim Renger; a sister, Cathy Blansett of Alabama.
