Charles Nathan Turner Sr. was born on June 13, 1979, in Ada, to Harold E. and Tanya G. Garvin Turner. He died on May 13, 2013, in Duncan, at the age of 33. Services with military honors will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18, in the Whinery-Huddleston Chapel with Dr. Walter Wilson, officiating.
Charles was raised and attended school in Duncan and Lawton. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1999 to 2001, and took classes to become an ASE Mechanic after his military obligation was completed.
Charles worked in the oil field and in his spare time enjoyed hunting, fishing, tinkering with cars and taking things apart (and occasionally getting them put back together). Most of all, Charles loved his children.
He was preceded in death by his mother; grandparents: Cecil and Charlotte Garvin, Jack and Alva Turner, and Joe Bonilla.
Survivors include his children: Kayliegh, Charles Jr., Kaydence and Kendra Turner, all of Duncan; parents: Harold and Joanne Turner of Lawton; grandmother, Anna Bonilla, also of Lawton; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
