Cleo Glen Richards

DUNCAN — Cleo Glen Richards, 87, passed away Monday, May 5, 2014, at his home in Duncan.

Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home, with pastor Glenn McGee officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.

Cleo was born Monday, Oct. 11, 1926, in Walters, to James Herbert and Ora Mae Hensley Richards.

Cleo graduated from Waurika High School. From his marriage to Evelyn Bauch, Cleo had a son Michael. They later divorced. On Jan. 13, 1973, Cleo married Shirlee Jean Weesner in Mexico. She preceded him in death on February 20, 2002.

He spent time living in Arizona before returning to settle in Oklahoma. Cleo enjoyed water skiing, fishing, and camping. He loved to ride motorcycles and had a passion for collecting old tractors.

Survivors include his grandson, Michael Richards Jr. of Duluth, Minn.; great-grandson, Michael “Trace” Richards of Duluth, Minn.; cousins: Merle Dale Richards, R.H. Richards, Pauline Ferguson, Patricia Ralls, Roy Richards, Thelma Keith, Peggy Smith, Barbara Richards, Ricky Richards, Don Richards, Kim and Destry Jones, Linda and George Willard.

Cleo was also preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Michael Richards.

Pallbearers will be Tim Bronson, Eddy Hopkins, Tommy Anthony, George Willard, Destry Jones and Tony Anderson. Honorary Pallbearers are Vic Anderson, Jim Allen, Jim Byers, Paul Hopkins, Cecil Petty and Phillip Glover.
