Emma Jean Downey Honeycutt, 67, of Duncan, Okla., passed away March 13, 2014, at her home, with her loved ones by her side.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2014, at the Velma Baptist Church with Rev. Rockie Keck and Rev. Ray Ledbetter officiating. Interment will follow at Foster Cemetery. Services are under direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m.
Emma Jean Downey was born Nov. 7, 1946, in Wynnewood, Okla., to Alice and Alton Downey. She was raised in Pernell, Okla.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and canning jelly. Emma will be remembered as a wonderful and caring lady, but most of all she was a very special mother, nanny and wife. She had a large family, who she loved dearly and gave so much love to.
Survivors include: her husband of 30 years, Junior Honeycutt, of Duncan; a sister, Mary McQuillian of Wynnewood; and brother and sister-in-law, Donnie and Claire Downey of Pernell; her children: Henry and Dana Miller of Pernell; Gary Ramsey of Duncan, David and Tonya Ramsey of Washington, Penn.; Zack and Tonya Miller of Talihina, Okla.; Marquitta and Rick Phillips of Duncan; her step- children: Betty and Bud Willis, Linda and Jim Bradley and Jerry Honeycutt, all of Duncan. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 21 step- great-grandchildren and one step- great-great grandchild and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Downey.
