William Franklin Fuller

June 22, 1933 — Nov. 19, 2012

SANGER, Texas — William Franklin Fuller, a resident of Sanger, Texas, since 1992, passed away Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at age 79.

He was born June 22, 1933, in Jacksonville, Texas, and was preceded in death by his parents, William L. and Imogene Boaz Fuller.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joyce Newton Fuller, whom he married June 2, 1957, in Fort Worth, Texas.

He attended school in Jacksonville, Texas, graduating from high school in 1951. He attended and graduated in 1855, from Texas A&M, with a degree in industrial engineering and as second lieutenant in the U.S. Army, completing his service obligation as a captain. He worked for the Halliburton Company for 38 years, finishing his career as world wide manager of training and personnel development.

He was a member of the Krum United Methodist Church in Krum, Texas, and a member of the Sons of the Republic of Texas, being a descendant of William and Dorothy Richardson Adams, 1837 Republic of Texas settlers.

Survivors are a son, Brian Newton Fuller and wife Donna Cass of Austin, Texas; a daughter, Deidre Fuller Shanley and her husband Reagan Shanley; granddaughter, Lindsay Shanley, and grandson, Weston Fuller Shanley of New Canaan, Conn.

Visitation was from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at Coker Funeral Home in Sanger, Texas. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at Sanger Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Krum United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1001 E. McCart, Krum, Texas 76249 or the charity of your choice.

    Services will be Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Velma Church of Christ with Minister Michael Ward officiating. Interment will follow at the New Velma Cemetery under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the Don Grantham Funeral Home in Duncan from 6 to 8 p.m.
