David A. Coker passed away peacefully Saturday, April 20, 2013, in Pauls Valley General Hospital.
He loved his home at SORC, and all his caregivers. David was born July 11, 1959, in Harlingen Air Force Base Hospital in Harlingen, Texas, to Charles and Martha Coker.
David’s world was very unique and special. He touched so many people for the better. In his way, he loved all and all loved him. David was a client of the Southern Oklahoma Resource Center for 45 years.
The Rev. Bill Crawford, Contract Chaplain at SORC, presided over a memorial service on Sunday, April 21, 2013, in Damron Chapel on campus. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, in the Duncan Cemetery, Duncan, with the Rev. Bill Crawford officiating. Services are under direction of Wooster Funeral Home in Pauls Valley.
He is survived by his parents of Duncan; two brothers and their wives: Stewart and Beatrix of Edmond, Douglas and Margaret of Davis; also two nieces:Virginia and Rebecca; four nephews: Douglas, Charles, Jacob and Lucas; many cousins, aunts and uncles. He is survived by many loving caregivers and staff member of SORC.
His parents wish to extend their heartfelt gratitude for all the kindnesses extended to them at this time of trauma, and to the staff and physicians at Pauls Valley General Hospital for good care.
