Funeral mass for Larry Trama, 85, of Marlow will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2013, at Assumption Catholic Church in Duncan with Father Joseph officiating. Burial will be at the Ft. Sill National Cemetery Monday, June 24, 2013, under the direction of the Fletcher Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 12-8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Trama passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2013.
Lawrence Daniel Trama was born July 25, 1927, in Yonkers, N.Y. to Nicholas and Anna (Castagnoli) Trama. He grew up in Yonkers, N.Y. Larry joined the United States Army in Jan. 26, 1951. He served five months in Korea during the Korean War before being honorably discharged Jan. 25, 1953.
Larry married Betty Myers in 1953. The two were married for 40 years when Betty passed away in 1993. Larry retired from civil service as a firefighter on Beale Air Force Base, Calif. He served as Linda Fire Department’s director from 1972 until 2008. Larry enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing golf, fishing, and camping.
He is survived by his son, Robert “Bobby” Zunick; his daughter, Nancy Daniels; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Myers) Trama; his parents, Nicholas and Anna Trama; and his five brothers.
