Cordie Korzendorfer

July 22, 1939 — Sept. 14, 2013

DUNCAN — Cordie Korzendorfer, 74, passed away Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013.

She was born on July 22, 1939, in Anadarko, to Utah Franklin and Jessie Omega. Cordie enjoyed short vacation trips, shopping, family genealogy and spending time with her beloved miniature dappled long haired dachshund, Emma.

Survivors include her daughters: Teresa Schroeder and husband Sam, Tricia Pierce, Mary Brentlinger and husband AJ; a brother, Gomer Franklin Smith and wife Kay; a sister, Grace Montgomery and husband Scott; brother-in-law, Don Smith; grandchildren: Curtis Witt, Bruce Witt, Samuel Schroeder II and wife Amy, Steven Schroeder and wife Megan, Tara Pierce, Amelia Dunagan and husband Ben, Trevor Pierce and wife Casey, Mathew Schroeder, Jeffrey Scammahorn II and wife Alix, Jeremy Scammahorn and Jentrey Scammahorn; and nine great-grandchildren. Cordie is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, friends, family and longtime home health caregiver, Carol.

Cordie was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Edward Korzendorder Jr.; her parents, Franklin and Jessie Omega Smith; a son, Kenneth Dean Korzendorfer; a sister, Ailene Smith; and several beloved aunts, uncles and cousins, many of whom are from Duncan.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Resthaven Funeral Home.

Funeral ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Moore, with interment to follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens. To celebrate the life of Cordie, share memories and condolences, please visit www.ResthavenOKC.com.
