Cleve was born Jan. 3, 1951, at Comanche, to Hurl and Ruby Tyler Bethany. He married Darlene Qualls on June 12, 1970, and having celebrated over 43 years of marriage, they still loved each other unconditionally.

Cleve is survived by his wife, Darlene, of the home; two sons: Cleve Bethany and Erin Mikel, and Christopher Bethany and wife Kristen, and a daughter, DeLisa Newman and husband Robert, all of Duncan; grandchildren: BreAnna Current and Shane Jones, Natalie Current and Victor Gomez, Brooke Bethany, Lexi Newman, Tyler Bethany, Bryson Bethany, Devlin Newman, all of Duncan; Taylor and Austin Bethany of Arizona; and Justice Sparks of Alabama; great-grandchildren: Kali and Lane Jones of Velma, and soon-to-be great-grandson, Kahler Gomez; a brother, Larry Palmer and wife Shirley of Duncan; in-laws, Hershel and Bertha Qualls of Duncan; numerous nieces, nephews and others whom he loved and loved him.

Cleve was preceded in death by his parents, Hurl and Ruby Bethany; and a sister, Carol Jean Palmer.
