William Lee “Bill” Fulton

July 2, 1940-Feb. 18, 2014

NORMAN — William Lee “Bill” Fulton, 73, of Norman, Okla., a Sooner born and bred, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, after a valiant struggle with lung cancer, during which we witnessed his remarkable endurance.  He was born July 2, 1940, in Duncan, Okla., to Steve Stiles Fulton and Rubye (Neal) Fulton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Kristen Dea Cobb; and his brother, Steven Bryan Fulton. William is survived by his grandson, Jeriah Cobb of the home; his sisters, Pat Tompkins of Duncan and Linda Garvin of Norman; and his nieces, Pamela Burnside and her husband, Chris of Duncan; Grayson Garvin of Norman, Laurel Garvin Robinson and her husband, Scott, and their daughter, Elle Victoria Robinson, of Dallas;  his nephew, Jeffrey Tompkins of Nederland, Texas, and his daughter, Kristen Williams of Port Arthur, Texas;  and many treasured friends, who will never forget his quick wit and unique sense of humor as well as his passion for O.U. football.    

Prior to his health declining, Bill had worked in the oil and gas industry as a land services courier.

In accordance with Bill’s wishes, the family plans a private service to honor and celebrate his life.   

In lieu of flowers, please consider gifts to the Northeast Baptist Church, 905 E. Rock Creek Rd., Norman, Okla., 73071.

Arrangements were placed in the care of the Vice family at the Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.

    Twyla was born Feb. 20, 1937, in Duncan, to Willard and Ruth Tinkle and died April 16, 2014, after a brief illness. Twyla lived her entire life in the Duncan area.

    Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 19, in the Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. George Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Duncan Cemetery under direction of the Don Grantham Funeral Home.

    Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel, Walters, with the Rev. Jay Driskill officiating. Burial will be in the Temple Cemetery under direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters.

    James Franklin Griffin was born May 17, 1931, in Claypool, to Elbert and Lois Simons Griffin. He was born and lived almost his entire life in Claypool. He attended Cameron college before being drafted in the Army. He served his country for two years in Korea.
