LouWanda Reynolds

MARLOW — LouWanda Reynolds, 80, passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, in Duncan.

Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home, with Rev. Lynn Parkhurst officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery, under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.

LouWanda was born Monday, Dec. 11, 1933, in the Doyle Community, to John and Victoria (Shirley) Riley. LouWanda lived in the Marlow area most of her life. She attended Pearl, Doyle and Bray Schools and graduated in 1954. On Nov. 3, 1956, she married Jerald Wesley Reynolds in Duncan. He preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 2014. LouWanda was a homemaker and worked at various places including Taylor's Restaurant, Otasco, the City Cafe and the Marlow City Hall. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary, where she served faithfully for more than 50 years. LouWanda was well known in Marlow for her ability to persuade people to purchase bean dinner tickets and poppies for the VFW. She enjoyed playing Yahtzee and working puzzles. LouWanda was a member of the Fifth Street Baptist Church in Marlow.

Survivors include: two sons, Israel Wesley Reynolds and wife Mary of Brownwood, Texas; and Gerry Lester Reynolds and wife Sharon of Hastings; four grandchildren, Michael Reynolds, Jessica Marie Billings, Jarod James Reynolds, Eric Hough; four great-grandchildren, Mistin LaShae Reynolds, Alexis Billings, Alison Billings, Jess Allen Hough; brother, Elbert Riley of Duncan and sister, Thelma Williams of Marlow.

LouWanda also was preceded in death by her parents, son, Jerald Bruce Reynolds, brothers, Julian Riley, Nelson Riley, Monk Riley, Bud Riley, Pete Riley, J.R. Riley, Orville Lee Riley, Delbert Riley and sisters, Gladys Plowman and Velma Plowman.

Pallbearers will be Tony Carter, James Carter, Keith Williams, Damon Beasley, Kenny Riley and Bart Riley.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made in LouWanda's name to the VFW Women's Auxiliary.
