Curtis Fay Parker was born Nov. 10, 1928, in Addington, to Henry and Eva Smiddy Parker. He graduated from Addington High School at 17 as valedictorian. After school he attended Draughn’s Business School in Wichita Falls.
In 1947, he moved to Duncan, and began working in the Accounting Department at Halliburton. In 1957, he married Shirley Ann Harrison and moved west of Duncan, where they lived all their married life.
He served on the board of members at the Halliburton credit union. He was a member of the National Guards. He was also a member of the Westside Christian Church where he served in several church positions including Deacon, Elder, Chairman of the Board, Treasure, and as a member of the choir.
In his retirement, he enjoyed playing dominoes and spending time with his family.
He survived by his wife; Shirley; his children: Steve Parker of Duncan, Ron and his wife Debbie Parker of LaPorte, Texas, Cindy and her husband John Maguire of Coppell, Texas, and Letia and her husband Curtis Cruson of Keller, Texas; his sister, Mary and her husband Travis Phillips of Adrmore; his sister-in-law, Peggy Parker of Ardmore; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Curtis was preceded in death by his two brothers: Alvin Parker and Bob Parker; sister, Cedrel Parker; and his parents, Henry and Eva Parker.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, at the chapel of Grantham Funeral Home in Duncan, with Curtis Cruson officiating. Interment will be at Duncan Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 1, at the funeral home.
