Feb. 18, 1917 - June 19, 2014

DUNCAN — Susie Marvel Ritter, 97, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away on June 19, 2014 in Duncan.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Duncan Cemetery with Rev. Sid Bazzrea officiating. Services are under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home, Duncan.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 20th at the funeral home.

She was born on Feb. 18, 1917 at Tussy to Mattie (Weatherly) and Joseph Tivis.  She married Bob M. Ritter on July 26, 1950 at Waurika.

She worked in retail as a sales clerk.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Sue Wortham and husband Larry of Marlow and Linda K. Hanks of Duncan; five grandchildren:  Angie and Steve Burk of Lindsay, Dana and Mitch Underwood of Wynnewood, Andrea and Ray Mize of Iowa Park, Texas, Christy and Greg Tackett of Cheney, Kan. and Alicia and Roger Schier of Ratliff City; ten great grandchildren: Aaron Gardner, Brandon Underwood, Ross Underwood, Brandon Burk, Amanda Burk, Ashley Burk, Evan Tackett, Christopher Tackett, Derek Schier and Kaylee Schier; a special niece, Betty Petty of Countyline and a host of other nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; six brothers and six sisters; a son-in-law, Roland Hanks; a great grandson, Brandon Mark Wortham and a great great-grandson, Anthony Robert Gardner.
