R.B. Riddles

Oct. 23, 1919-July 2, 2014

MARLOW — R.B. Riddles, 94, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014 in Marlow.

Services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at the Ray of Hope Church in Duncan, with Rev. Mike McCord officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.

R.B. was born Thursday, Oct. 23, 1919 in Walters, to James Walker and Martha Jane (Petty) Riddles. R.B. lived in the Marlow and Comanche area most of his life. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during WWII. On Dec. 19, 1941, he married Minnie Fay Wilson in Comanche. R.B. worked for Stephens County as a mechanic for many years. He was very patriotic and loved anything concerning the veterans. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Association. R.B. liked to hunt, fish, tinker around his house and raise a garden. He really enjoyed going to family reunions and never missed one. He was an avid domino player and would play as long as the game was going. R.B. was a member of the Hilltop Church of God.

Survivors include: wife, Minnie Fay Wilson of the home; two sons, Ricky Riddles and wife Sharri, Larry Riddles and wife Sherry, all of Rush Springs; two daughters, Kathryn Carter, LaDonna Golden and husband Ronald, all of Marlow, 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, sister Annie Barnett of Comanche and numerous nieces and nephews.

R.B. was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Sharron Moriarty, brother, Roy Riddles, sisters, Vergie Rice, Zadie McCord and Rachel Whitlock.

Pallbearers will be his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made in R.B. Riddle's honor to the D.A.V.
