Mary Lou Resecker

Dec. 12, 1937 — Jan. 15, 2014

COMANCHE — Mary Lou Resecker, 76, of Comanche, peacefully passed away Wednesday morning, Jan. 15, 2014, in Duncan.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at the Comanche Church of Christ, with Jerry Hurst officiating. Interment will be at Fort Still National Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. Family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mary was born Dec. 12, 1937, in Craig, Colo., to John and Emma Paulson Lemmons. On July 12, 1956, she and Roy E. Resecker were united in marriage in Seattle, Wash. She was a very proud military wife for 17 years, while Roy served his country.

She loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved her dogs: Buddy and Princess, and her cat, Midnight. She was a member of the Comanche Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, Roy of the home; one son, John C. Resecker, Comanche; three daughters: Mary E. Roberts and husband Bryan, Corum, Elsa L. Jones and husband Gary, Lawton, and Cheryl E. Browder and husband Billy, Duncan; nine grandchildren: Tabbie, Charla, Mary, Ray, Vivian, Roy, Aaron, William and Blayden; 13 great-grandchildren: Macie, Tyler, Andrew, Maigan, Nathan, Leland, Joseph, Orion, Leia, Christian, Angel, Earl and Austin; also many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and dear friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Shirley Campbell; and a brother, Willis Lemmon.

    Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel, Duncan. Interment will follow where Bette will be laid to rest beside her husband in a family cemetery in Alma.
