Billy Rex Galloway, 71, passed away Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, in Oklahoma City.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Price officiating. Burial will be in the Hope Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.
Bill was born Monday, Nov. 23, 1942, in Pontotoc, Miss. to John Nolan and Alice (Miller) Galloway. He grew up in Mississippi and graduated from Thaxton High School. He lived most of his adult life in the Stephens County area.
Bill was a veteran of the United States Army. On Feb. 15, 2004, Bill married Carolyn Joyce Bingham in Bray. He was a truck driver for S&W Trucking for over 30 years. Bill enjoyed riding motorcycles, reading, and playing games. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion.
Survivors include wife, Carolyn Joyce Galloway of the home; son, Brandon Sweat of Bray; two daughters, Brandie Poston and husband Jeremy of Bray, Phyllis Cochran of Lawton; several step-children; several grandchildren, Brylan Sweat, Braiden, Jaiden, Paiden Poston, Cherelle Miller; several other grandchildren, including, Brye, Miranda, Nick; five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Daniel Galloway, sister, Nelda Brown and step-son, Randy Galloway.
Pallbearers will be Roger Martin, Gene Burrow, Benny Carnes, Virgil Adams, Kenny Don Eason and Brad Eason.
