Pauls Valley —
Venda Sue Pierce, 70, of Duncan, was born to Bobby Bright and Opal Pierce in Pauls Valley on Feb. 24, 1943 and passed from this life Thursday, July 17, 2013 in Duncan.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, at Wooster Funeral Home Chapel in Pauls Valley with internment in the Five Mile Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
Venda grew up and attended school in Pauls Valley.
In 1959, she married Vernon Prince and together they made their home in Elmore City. Venda worked as a seamstress for Kellwood in Pauls Valley and retired in the early 1980s.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening and traveling. The highlight of her life was time spent with her family.
Surviving family members include two sons, Vernon Prince of Elmore City and Bobby Prince and wife Connie of Oklahoma City; two daughters, Sue Prince of Duncan and Sonja Prince of Oklahoma City; and 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Venda was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Prince, in 1981; daughter Latasha Prince; and parents Bobby Bright and Opal Pierce.
