Shaquayla Bone`t Bell

DUNCAN — Funeral service for Shaquayla Bone`t Bell, 21, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 9, at Eastside Church of Christ (202 N. A St.) in Duncan, with Brother Arlouis McDowell Sr. officiating.

Shaquayla Bell died Saturday, May 3, 2014, in Duncan Regional Hospital.

Burial will be in Henderson-Harris Cemetery, Duncan, under direction of Howard-Harris Funeral Services in Lawton.

She was born Oct. 26, 1992, to Shauntel Deshaun Bell and Willie Charles Hollis in Duncan. She graduated from Duncan High School in 2011, with further studies attending SWOSU College and Cameron University. She was excellent on computers and an awesome photographer and graphic designer.

She designed her church’s Vacation Bible School (VBS) shirts each year. She was baptized at age sixteen and she attended Kings Place and Magnolia Church of Christ in Duncan. She was employed by Duncan Regional Hospital in food services and Pizza Hut.

Shaquayla loved all types of music: Christian, Country, Old School, R & B and Rock. She had a beautiful soprano voice and loved to sing while driving her car “The Silver Bullet.”

She loved spending time with her family and was respectful and considerate of others, putting self last. She loved baking specialty cakes. She had a great sense of humor and played tricks on her family. She always had a bright smile, loved life, lived it to the fullest and lived everyday like it was her last.

She loved animals and often brought home strays. She was a friend to everyone and didn’t judge. Her wisdom was well beyond her age and she never complained, even when she was sick or in a wheelchair. She always found the good in any situation.

Survivors include her parents: Shauntel Bell of Duncan, and Willie Charles Hollis of Oklahoma City; three sisters: Samriya Hollis, Evelyn Espinosa and Chyrstallis Rosado of Duncan; three brothers: Quaysean Bell and Xzibit Hollis of Duncan, and Asan Hollis of Oklahoma City; her grandparents: James McGee, Willie Lorene Hollis and Andrew Simmons, and Cleo Lola Hampton; her aunts and uncles: Tonya Mayfield (Byron), Tiffney Culberson (Quentin), Tammy Kaus (Marty), Angie Hollis of Duncan, Jennifer McCormick Davis (Dodd) of Moore, Tadosha Dangerfield of Temple, Texas, Kenya Dangerfield of Ardmore, Carlos Bell (Latrice) of Oklahoma City, Jeremy Dangerfield (LaShawn) of Fort Worth, Texas, Eric Crockett, Gavin McGee and James McGee, Jr. of Duncan; her great aunts and uncles: Angela Dangerfield and Barry Bill (Andrea) of Ardmore, Georgia McGee, Flora Russell, Marva Troy (Billy), Patricia Bonner (Larry) of Duncan, Milfred Alexander (Itanza) of San Antonio, Texas, John (Chic) Alexander of Oklahoma City, Vernon Dangerfield Jr. of Hodgens, Jimmy Don Harris (Tracey) of Denton, Texas, Frank McGee (Donna) of Grand Prairie, Texas, Tommy McGee of Duncan; several cousins, other relatives and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Ruby Pearl Bell; her great-grandparents: the Rev. Worth McGee (Verda), Willie Dangerfield, Billy Alexander, Vernon Dangerfield Sr., and Lula B. Eddings; and her great-great-grandmother, Alma Lee Higgins.
