Wanda Lee Upton

MARLOW — Nov. 26, 1946-April 20, 2014

Wanda Lee Upton, 67, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014 in Marlow .

Services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Bernhardt officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.

Wanda was born Tuesday, Nov. 26, 1946 in Lawton, to Denver Lee and Rosie Mae (Craib) Upton. She grew up in Lawton and graduated from Lawton High School. She had lived in Duncan since 1990. Wanda married Billy Grierson in Lawton in 1965. They later divorced. Wanda worked as a real estate broker for several years. She enjoyed ceramics, making things for her home and sewing. Wanda often made her own clothes. She enjoyed going to the senior citizens’ center and was a member of the Duncan Rescue Mission.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Lee Grierson of Duncan, William Alvin Grierson, III of Maryland, six grandchildren,

brother Bobby Willingham of Lewisville, Ark., four sisters, Ruby Harris of Marlow, Mary Hesbrook of Tishomingo, Martha Tillman of Savannah, Geor., Vivian Ayer of Belton, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Virgil D. Upton.
