Marlow: Wanda Nease, 87, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014 in Marlow.

Services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Marlow, with Rev. George Nease and Rev. Robert Goodman officiating. Burial will be in the Letitia Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.

Wanda was born Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1926 in Bray, to William Franklin and Ruby C. (Cearlock) Parker. She lived in the Marlow area all of her life and graduated from Bray High School. On Sept. 23, 1947, she married George Isaac Nease in Wichita Falls, Texas. He preceded her in death on Sept. 16, 2005. Wanda was a homemaker and worked along with her family as a farmer and rancher. Wanda loved sports and played for an A.A.U. semi-pro basketball team. She enjoyed fishing, playing dominoes, and quilting. Wanda loved to spend time with her family. She was known to use a peach tree switch to spank her kids and grandkids. She was an active member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Marlow and a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Women's Mission.

Survivors include two sons, George Dale Nease and wife Doris of Clinton, Frankie Keith Nease and wife Pam of Marlow, daughter Brenda Kay Johnson and husband Pat of Duncan, 11grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, twin sister, Velda S. Green and husband Jerl of Marlow, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends and special cousin, June Kreiger of Marlow.

Wanda was also preceded in death by her parents.

Grandsons and grandsons-in-law will serve as pallbearers.
