Lucille Bailey, 95, of Duncan, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at Duncan Regional Hospital.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the old Velma Cemetery with the Rev. Billy Clayburn officiating. Services are under direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, and 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Bailes-Polk Funeral Home.
Lucille was born April 1, 1918, at Red Oak, Texas. She was the daughter of Burl and Nancy Dulworth. She married Opie Bridges in 1936, and he preceded her in death in 1939. They had one daughter, Lavene.
She later married Tom Bailey in 1946, and he preceded her in death. They had two sons, Larry and Leo Bailey.
Lucille lived her life with love and joy in her heart. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them and telling stories about the old days. Lucille loved family, the outdoors, fishing, gardening and playing the guitar. She was always a happy person with a smile on her face.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, two sisters and a great-great grandson.
Survivors include a sister, Velma Bowling of Tracy, Calif.; a daughter, Lavene Hlavaty of Duncan; two sons: Larry Bailey of Duncan and Leo Bailey of Velma; grandchildren: Sonny and Cassie Bumpas, Greg and Tara Bumpas, Sharon and Ron Miller, Eric Bumpas, Ben and Rhonda Hlavaty, Lynn Bailey, and Vicki Bailey; great-grandchildren: Chris Bumpas, Jeremy Bumpas, Brandy Hayes, Cherokee Bumpas, Natosha Bumpas, Amber Williams, Josh Bumpas, Kyle Green, Jessica Baker, Shandi Thompson and Cody Bumpas. She is also survived by many great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, as well as numerous friends.
