Billie Louise Caughey

June 10, 1929 — Oct. 7, 2013

MARLOW — Billie Louise Caughey, 84, passed away Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, in Marlow.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at the First Church of the Nazarene in Marlow with Rev. Lynn Parkhurst and Rev. Al Ball officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.

Billie was born Monday, June 10, 1929, in Madill to Claude and Joyce Mae (Smith) Pearce. Billie graduated from Durant High School. On June 29, 1946, she married James Walter Caughey in Durant. He preceded her in death on Oct. 10, 1987.

Billie lived in many places while her husband worked in the oilfield. She later made her home in Mustang before moving to Marlow in 1998. Billie was very active in her church activities and loved helping others. She enjoyed reading, watching old movies, china painting and being a loving mother and grandmother. Billie was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Marlow.

Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Ross and husband Daniel of Marlow, Linda Crouch and husband Maxie of Lawton, nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, sister, Wanda Harton of Big Springs, Texas, several nieces and nephews and sister-in-law, Darlene Pearce of Manderson, Wyo.

Billie was also preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and four brothers.

Pallbearers will be Bob Hill, Jay Hill, Phil Baughn, Darrell Thomas, Larry Davidson, Lonnie Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Ross, Maxie Crouch, Jonathan Ross, Justin Ross, Lynn Bullock, Angel Chiri, Jimmy Horton, Chester Pearce.
