Joyce England Cain, 84, of Duncan passed away Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, in Duncan. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 at All Saints’ Episcopal Church with the Rev. Anita M. Slovak officiating. Services are under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. There is no visitation scheduled at the funeral home.
Joyce was born on Sept. 17, 1928, in Nocona, Texas to Cuin Arocus and Ethel Mae England. Joyce married Fred J. Cain in Duncan on Sept. 16, 1951. She was a house wife, worked as a secretary at Halliburton Services, was a head teller for Oklahoma National Bank and for First National Bank.
From 1976-1980 Joyce tutored English to the children in South America. She was an avid bridge player and an very active member of All Saints’ Episcopal Church, Parish Life and Alter Guild at the church.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Fred J. Cain; her parents, Cuin Arocus and Ethel Mae England; a brother, Buddy England and his wife Faye; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Cain.
Joyce is survived by her daughter, Candayce Coulter; sons, Mark Cain, Kent Cain, Kevin Cain; brother, Steve Knight; grandchildren, Mitchell, Jeffrey, Sarah, Clay; great-grandchildren, Dakota, Peyton and Isabelle.
Honorary pallbearers are grandchildren: Mitch Cain, Jeffrey Cain, Clay Cain and nephews: Phillip England, Eddie England, Chris England, Dustin England, Bryan Foster, Kirby Foster and Dylan Brown.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 809 W. Cedar Street Duncan, OK 73533.
