Linda Lassley

June 28, 1946 — March 22, 2014

COMANCHE — Linda Lassley, 67 of Comanche, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014, in Comanche with her family by her side.

Graveside funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, at the Duncan Cemetery, with the Rev. Bob Waitman officiating. Interment will be at the Duncan Cemetery. Arrangements are under direction of Carter-Smart Funeral Home.

There will be a family visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Linda was born June 28, 1946, in Duncan, to Marvin A. and Lenora Heilman Renfro. She was a resident of Duncan all her life, and worked at Wal-Mart until her retirement in July 2013.

Linda married Jerry M. “Hank” Lassley on July 3, 1965, in Duncan. He preceded her in death Jan. 28, 2009. She was a homemaker, wife, mother to three children, grandmother to eight grandchildren and great-grandmother to four great-grandchildren.      

Survivors include two sons: Bennie Lesley and wife Fonda of Comanche, and Thomas Lassley and wife Kellie of Duncan; a daughter, Teresa Helloms and husband James of Ryan; a brother, Terry Renfro of Duncan; sisters: Lanora Smith of Marlow, and Peggy Wishon of Duncan; eight grandchildren: Jeremy Lassley and wife Elizabeth, Jeffery Lassley and wife Elyse, Paul Davis, Jason Wininger, Dallas Lassley, Logan Lassley, Trey and Dylan Sweetman; and four great-grandchildren: Hunter Lassley, Brycen Lassley, Shayla Huff and Benlee Lassley.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry “Hank” Lassley; her parents: Marvin and Lenora Renfro; sisters: Mary Youngs and Barbara Key.

Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
