DUNCAN — William G. (Bill) Cox, 91, a former Bartlesville resident who in recent years had made his home at Duncan, died at 4 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at the Sterling House in Duncan.

Mr. Cox was born Aug. 11, 1921, in Tulsa to Mary Inez (Rankin) Cox and William M. Cox. He attended school in Tulsa, graduating from Tulsa Central High in 1939 and Tulsa University with a degree in Physics Engineering in 1949, after military service with the U.S. Marines during the second world war.

He worked at various supervisory and management positions in Tulsa, Lawton, McAlester and Bartlesville, where he retired in Feb. 1985 as the Northern Division Manager for PSO.

Poll

Should the date for The World's Largest Garage Sale be changed from the third weekend in July to sometime in October to take advantage of cooler weather like we had this past weekend?

No. It's better in the summer cause kids are out of school.
Yes. More shoppers would come during nice fall weather.
Either time is fine.
