Gerald Wayne Locke Sr.

April 17, 1938 — Dec. 17, 2013

DUNCAN — Service for Gerald Wayne Locke Sr., 75, of Pryor, will be from 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, at Stephens Memorial Chapel. Brother Jim Collier will officiate.

Gerald was born April 17, 1938, in Terrell, to Benjamin and Sue Manus Locke. He departed this life Dec. 17, 2013, in Pryor at the age of 75 years and 8 months.

Gerald moved in 1970, to Pryor, from Vancouver, Wash. He was a self-employed carpenter. Gerald loved to fish and watch baseball games and westerns. He loved to go hybrid and sand bass fishing with his family on Waurika Lake in Duncan. Gerald thought the world of his brothers and spoke of them often. He loved Peggy, his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids, and he loved his “Marcia Jean” as he called her!

Gerald is survived by wife, Peggy Poston of the home; son, Gerald Locke Jr. and wife Marcia of Pryor; son, Steven Locke of Tahlequah; son, Patrick Locke of Pryor; step-daughters: Kathy Webb and husband Dennis of Bakersfield, Calif., and Pam Ingle and husband Donald of Chouteau; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and one on the way; six brothers: Richard Locke of Duncan, “Spookie” (L.D.) of Riverside, Calif., Joe Locke of Logan, N.M., Jessie of Logan, Thurman Dale Locke of Mendon, Utah, Bobby of El Centro, Calif.; two sisters: Faydean Locke and Betty Lacabe Locke of Austin, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one step-son, Max Benge.

    Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel, Duncan. Interment will follow where Bette will be laid to rest beside her husband in a family cemetery in Alma.
