ALVARADO, Texas —
Ms. Dejuanah Gwen Hubbard, 56, of Alvarado, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at her home.
Gwen was born Jan. 26, 1957, in Eunice, N.M., to Charlie Paul Olds of Duncan and the late Patsy Ruth Olds.
She worked as a registered nurse for many years, including a number of supervisory, administrative and risk management positions. She held a bachelor's degree in nursing and a Master of Arts degree in human services.
Gwen leaves her two children: Jeffrey D. Nachimson and his wife Melenie of Oklahoma City, and Jillian Diane Hubbard, of Belzone, Miss.; her father, Charlie Paul Olds of Duncan; two brothers: Mitchell Olds and Crandall Olds, both of Duncan ; a sister, Jay McDowell of Venus, Texas; six grandchildren: Alexis Gabrielle Vespoli of Abeliene, Texas, Alaina Marie Quist of Toms River, N.J., Jacob Jeffrey Nachimson and Caleb Andrew Nachimson, both of Oklahoma City, Keanu Christian Hubbard-Sutton and Trinity Faith Hubbard-Sutton, both of Belzone, Moss. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by her mother, Patsy Ruth Olds.
Ms. Hubbard was cremated, according to her wishes, at the Clayton Kay Vaughn Funeral Home in Alvarado, Texas. Her family is holding a memorial service for her at 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, at the Fig Street Baptist Church, 113 W. Fig Ave., Duncan.
