Memorial service for Tommy Dean Callaway, 58, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 27, 2013, at Fair Baptist Church in Empire with Rev. David Spangler, pastor, and Rev. Ron Meador, pastor of Bethel Assembly of God in Duncan, officiating.
Tommy went to his heavenly home after a brief illness on Monday, May 20 in Magnolia, Texas. Tommy was born in Muleshoe, Texas on Oct. 21, 1955 to Sedric and Joy Callaway.
Tommy went to school in Lawton and graduated from Eisenhower Senior High in 1973. After school, he went to work at Halliburton in Duncan. He married Lois Brown on July 12, 1973 in Duncan. They had two daughters.
Tommy was employed at Centerpoint Energy in Houston, Texas. In his spare time, he loved woodworking and making beautiful things.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Callaway of the home; his two daughters, Amey Francis of Fort Worth, Texas, Trey and Brooke Tabner of San Antonio, Texas; his mother Joy Callaway; a sister Patricia Phelps of Lawton; brothers Bobby Callaway and Roy Callaway, both of Walters; two special nieces, Stacey and Katie Callaway of Lawton; and his pride and joy, his two grandsons Johnathan and Jacob Tabner of San Antonio, Texas; lots of uncles, aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother-in-law Larry Phelps.
