Larry Don Scott

MARLOW — Larry Don Scott, 60, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013, in Oklahoma City.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 19, at the Eastside Baptist Church, with the Rev. David Woods officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.

Larry was born Tuesday, Dec. 2, 1952, in Marlow, to Dub and Teenie Files Scott. Larry lived in Marlow all of his life and graduated from Marlow High School in 1971.

On March 17, 1972, he married Jeannie Long in Marlow. Larry worked for Halliburton Pump Services for 38 years. He raised cattle and enjoyed family vacations, spending time at Lake Texoma, going to the NFR in Las Vegas and OU/Texas weekends. He was also an avid Oklahoma City Thunder fan.

Larry was a member of the Red, Red Rose, American Hereford Association and the Central Oklahoma Parrot Head Association, and served on the Marlow School Board. Larry was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Marlow.

Survivors include, wife, Jeannie Scott of the home; sons: Jason Scott and wife Blas of Frisco, Texas, and Jeff Scott and wife Penny of Marlow; grandchildren: Mardi Scott, Emily Scott, Bryce King and Brayden King; mother, Teenie Scott of Marlow; nephews: Cody Long, Nick Long, Nathan Scott, Bryan Long; father and mother-in-law: Hoot and Mary Lee Long of Marlow; brother-in-law, Blaine Long and wife Julie.

Larry was preceded in death by his father and brother, Danny Scott.

Pallbearers will be Brannon Gill, Dub Downey, Brendon Perkins, David Horning, Jackie Pendley, Mark O'Neal. Honorary pallbearers are Glen Dodd and Cotton Liles.
